The Rotary Club of Tallahassee recently hosted the 24th Annual Ethics in Business Award, celebrating the exemplary ethical behavior and professional excellence within our community.
This event, held in collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Tallahassee, Wakulla, and Monticello, honored some truly outstanding nominees: John D. Jones of John D. Jones AC, Heating and AC, Niraj Patel of Barn Enterprise, Inc., and Melanie Quinton of Loyalty Credit Union.
We are thrilled to announce that the 2024 winner is Dr. Emily Saras of Knowli Data Science. Congratulations to all the nominees!
The Ethical Leadership Award not only recognizes individuals who perform at the highest professional levels but also those who consistently make decisions rooted in exemplary ethical standards, irrespective of the outcome. Since its inception, thanks to the pioneering efforts of Dr. Michael W. Forsthoefel and Reverend Glenn Bass, with the support of area Rotary Clubs, nearly 200 nominees have been honored at the annual award luncheon. These nominees represent a broad spectrum of about 20 distinct business and professional avenues of service in our area. From this celebrated field, twenty-five individuals recognized for their highest ethical standards have been awarded the unique trophy that signifies the winner.
We extend our special thanks to the Ethics in Business Chair, Rotarian Bobby Long, and this year's keynote speaker, John Thrasher, President Emeritus of Florida State University. Their contributions helped make this event a resounding success.
