Meet the 2023-2024 Board: Secretary - Belinda Little-Wood

Sponsor: Pamela Griggs

Paul Harris Fellow

Belinda Little-Wood has been at the forefront of strategic initiatives involving state/federal programs designed to position businesses, organizations, cities and states to support significant growth. She has turned around floundering and problematic situations to regain the respect of the people these entities serve. She has conceived new ideas to strengthen core services, project-managed new infrastructure initiatives, and maintained the morale of employees despite periods of instability and change.

Considered a senior government program advisor with a combination of vision and corporate realism, she has been acknowledged for her capacity to harness the enthusiasm and talents of others, identify core issues, and exploit the necessary resources available to stretch funds and achieve management objectives in several highly demanding situations.

Experience of this magnitude has not been developed overnight; successes have been hard won; and commitment has been tireless. Yet the rewards of seeing an idea take hold of people's imaginations for better, more responsive service delivery, while enhancing performance, remains to this day one of her greatest motivators.

This unique skill set has benefitted her various roles in disaster management through Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav, Ike, Isaac, the BP Oil Spill, the 2016 floods in the deep south, Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey.
