Meet Satellite Club Chair - Kim Koutnik

Kim Koutnik has worked in the court system, Human Resources, and the Center for Urban Transportation Research. She has had the opportunity to work overseas in different countries of which her favorite was in Liberia, Africa with Orphan Relief, and Rescue, partnering with the government to rescue orphans that had been abused and trafficked. She was their 2016 Champion for Children recipient. She currently serves on different committees within Rotary and loves working with Second Harvest, mentoring at Riley, and spending time with her grandchildren, Stellan, and Miles.
She has two children, Esther and Andrew, and a daughter-in-law Kelly. Kim Koutnik graduated from Florida State University; with a degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. She has done work in Mexico, Brazil, Kenya, partnered building a house for a child-rearing family in South Africa. She has served as the 2017-19 Community Service Chair, 2021 - 2022 Youth Services Chair, working with the backpacking program, Committee Against Human Trafficking, mentoring at Riley Elementary, and on the Chaplain's Council. Kim was the Service Above Self Award Winner for Rotary Year 2016-2017 and was one of the Rotary International Service Above Self Recipients for Rotary Year 2016-17.
